HUSSEY URGES STUDENTS TO REGISTER TO VOTE
• 8th Jan 2010
• IF YOU ARE STUDYING AWAY FROM YOUR HOME REGISTER FOR A POSTAL/PROXY VOTE NOW

Omagh Town UUP Councillor and Secretary of the West Tyrone Constituency Asociation Ross Hussey has urged all students to ensure that they are registered to vote and those that will require postal votes to register themselves as absent voters before they return to University.

There is no doubt there is going to be at least one election in the United Kingdom before the end of the academic year in June and I would urge all students to ensure that they are registered to vote. Those that are at University whether in be in Belfast, Coleraine, Dublin, England Scotland or Wales will clearly not be in a position to return to this part of the world to cast their vote in an election and now is the time to apply to be on the absent voters register. The relevant forms are available from the Ulster Unionist Office in Omagh - please contact Ryan Moses at our office 82245568 - local electoral office in Omagh or can be downloaded from the electoral office website www.eoni.org.uk
