McCrea hypocrisy will fool nobody
"Rev WIlliam McCrea had condemned the comments of Sinn Fein MEP Bairbre de Brun when she praised those IRA members killed in the troubles, and rightly so. But he goes on to make the following idiotic statements; "the DUP has forced republicans to abandon their long held beliefs regarding policing and the rule of law." Nonsense. Sinn Feins real attitude to policing and law and order was evident a few days before the murders in Antrim and Craigavon when they went into overdrive when it was learned that the Chief Constable had asked for special help from the Army and had brought in such forces. They condemned Hugh Orde for taking such necessary action." "Remember it was Sinn Fein who brought the Executive to a standstill last year for five months until they got what they wanted on the devolution of Policing and Justice, something that Willie will be voting for after the European elections are over, despite Nigel Dodds saying it will not happen in a political lifetime!" "He then goes on to say If she topped the poll she would use her position to peddle pro republican views in Brussels!" What does Willie McCrea think Ms de Brun has being doing in Brussels for the last five years? Answer; peddling pro rebublican views. And why does she do this? Because she is a republican! The same sort of republican as Martin McGuinness, Gerry Adams, Gerry Kelly, Conor Murphy and all the other Sinn Fein Ministers he is now happy to support in government! "These comments are a crude and predictable attempt to try and appeal to the natural loyalty of ordinary unionists before an election. How can the DUP claim to be some kind of battering ram against Sinn Fein when these two parties are in government together and tour the world together? They cant run with the hare one day and hunt with the hound the next." "The truth is that Willie and his colleagues are now U turn unionists and the people know it." |

Leader of the Ulster Unionist Party Sir Reg Empey has criticised DUP MLA William McCrea following what he has described as idiotic comments.
